Keeping up-to-date with the latest in sustainability

Staying up to date on the latest in sustainability is a constant effort. Besides following us here at SWC (on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Good.is!), we’re dedicating today’s blog on sharing our favorite ways to keep up with the latest news, events, and ideas occurring around sustainability.

Blogs:

  • Treehugger.com offers a wide range of articles all ranging from the latest in green design to editorials about organic farming, interesting environmental business, and the newest green technologies
  • MNN.com is affiliated with the kids at Treehugger but tends to blog more about clever lifestyle news and creative ways to live more sustainably. They also post heaps of infographics to share with friends
  • Sustainablog is run by Jeff McIntire-Strasburg who posts daily about green initiative projects and important environmental causes.

News:

  • HuffPost Green is the environmental section of the Huffington Post, full of environmentally-focused editorials centered on current events.
  • The Guardian’s environmental section will keep you updated on the latest news in climate change and environmentalism.

Educational:

  • The folks at TED have set aside all of the great lectures centered around environmentalism in one easy place for you. Sort them by date, popularity, or just the classic alphabetically
  • Spring of Sustainability is our  yearly event that brings together the best minds in sustainable thinking for a series of free lectures, most with question and answer portions! In all honestly, the event is co-hosted by SWC, but also in all honestly, we would be listening in either way!

Let us know where your favorite environmentally, green, sustainable, or climate change-centered news/blog/event/anything awesome is! We are always looking for new and fresh ideas that are helping the planet and us get healthier.
