This past spring, Sustainable World Coalition co-produced the 2nd annual Spring of Sustainability (SoS), the largest virtual sustainability gathering ever. SoS brought the “best and brightest” leaders in sustainability to the world through teleconference dialogues.
Each week, in our Best of SoS feature, we review one of our favorite episodes. Like what you see? Head over to our upgrade page for a special offer to own the entire Spring of Sustainability series.
Love in Action!
Andrew Harvey was on Spring of Sustainability on April 3, 2013 in a juicy and deep conversation that covered, among many topics, the importance of inner development and practice along with our outer work of contribution–a combination he calls Sacred Activism.
As a result of intensifying environmental collapse and social upheaval, caused by our unsustainable lifestyles and consumer consciousness, Andrew made clear that the coming years will bring devastating changes on the planet, and we’ll need all of the inner stability and courage we can muster to help midwife the new consciousness needed now–of being true global citizens and building just, resilient communities in harmony with nature.
Andrew’s deep wisdom and passion came through loud and strong; it was evident that his many years of devout spiritual study inform his work in the world and his ability to guide many to their highest calling.
He himself practices what he calls ferocious, radical love, and emphasizes that our actions need to be guided by love and service.
Andrew provides resources and trainings for becoming a Sacred Activist; they can be found on his website.
